Taking some time...

Hi All!  I know I have been quiet this week, but I really have been busy.  I have two finishes, well almost finishes, that I will have done hopefully by tonight.  Last week I can show you what I did one day...

I got to spend some time with my Dad on his boat out in the Barnegat Bay.  That is Barnegat Light, known as "old Barney".

Sunday this week was the "Sweet 16" party at my LQS, Quilting Possibilities.  They had an auction where they auctioned off 16 items.  Your "money" was the total you had spent in the months of April and May.  I had a nice total, haha, but there were people with much more that I had.  It was fun and I came home with 75 fat quarters.

Jim as the auctioneer.

My haul!

Some are cottons and some are flannels.  Some I really like and some I am not so fond of, but all will be used eventually or shared with my friends.

It is always a good time at my LQS!

Visit your local Quilt Shop Day

Well according to someone somewhere today is officially...

I, of course, did my duty and went to visit my girls at my local shop, Quilting Possibilities.  The girls there have been calling me their "Friday Girl"  since I usually stop in on Friday's after physical therapy.  (But honestly... I have been known to stop in up to three times a week)

So I stopped in and showed the girls my Caroline mini quilt and then picked up a couple pieces of fabric.  You think I would go and not buy something... never.  I am making a variation of this Valentine Mini Quilt that is on Canoe Ridge Creations and I have almost no solid fabrics in my stash.  So I grabbed some kona cotton in pink and red started it today.  Maybe I will get it together by tomorrow.
