You ever have one of those days where things are just not going your way and you are stressed and sad and then something happens that makes you smile? Well today was one of those days. This morning was rough but when I came home there was a package on my front porch. Polly at
Helping Little Hands recently hosted another I-Spy fabric swap and I jumped in and signed up for double spots. Polly has made some
amazing quilts and
projects with hers and it has been inspiring me. Well my squares arrived today and she included something extra and it made me smile.
Now, I will have to bring all my squares to my nephews and let them help me sort them. It is so much fun to hear how they think we should group each square. And it always makes me laugh when the 3 year old, Christopher, tells me that a fabric is gorgeous haha. Thanks Polly for making my day :)
And just for fun... a picture of Christopher riding his bike and Matt in his go-cart.
Sorry you had a hard day, but so nice you have something fun to come home to. I think it's funny sorting fabric squares with my 3 year old too. Some fabric that I really love because it's something kinda rare and different from the usual, she thinks is boring. Right now she's been excited to find stars the fabrics...she has a cousin name Star that she wants to make a quilt for with only star squares.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see your day got better! I hope I didn't add to your stress. The I-Spy swap must be so fun. Can't wait to see where your creativity leads you.
ReplyDeleteBTW - love Matt's go-cart.
I had a lousy day on Wednesday too! I'm glad to hear that yours brightened up!
