The top, pink and green, is the quarter yard piece. It is on old Michael Miller print that is oh so fun. The other 4 I picked up at my LQS the other day. Looking now, they don't really go together, haha. I will probably throw in some 2.5 inch charms, too, because you know I love my little squares.
So to enter my giveaway just leave a comment telling me one of your most fun birthdays. Mine was a couple years ago, my friends and I camped and kayaked all weekend. I brought pink cupcakes and I had a tiara to wear as I boated. Quite a few people asked if it was my 21'st birthday (which it wasn't) but of course I said, "yes, yes it is". This year I had a fun birthday dinner with my sisters over the weekend, it was a fun night with just the three of us.
Good luck to all! I will close the comments and choose a winner on Saturday, March 23 at 5 pm est.
I don't really celebrate my birthday much anymore, but when I was thirteen my mom and my best friend's mom threw the two of us a joint surprise birthday party because our birthdays are exactly a week apart. When planning this, I was told that the party was for my friend Michelle and Michelle was told the party was for me. Because it was a surprise, neither one of us talked about it. When I asked my mom why Michelle got to have such an extravagant birthday party and I didn't she simply said that we couldn't afford it, which I accepted. The night of the party, I tried my absolute best to get in front of Michelle so that I could say "surprise" when we walked in together. Little did I know that she was trying to do the same thing for me. When we both walked in, probably together, we were shocked when we saw the birthday banner that read, "Happy Birthday KeriAnn and Michelle!" Neither of us could understand until our mothers explained that they had tricked us the whole time! Good job, Mom!
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Birthday!!! Lovely fabrics - the pink and green is especially nice!!! One of my most fun birthdays was when we lived in Gibraltar and my husband organised a meal out with loads and loads of our friends - it was certainly a surprise when I thought it was just going to be the two of us celebrating my birthday!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! On my last birthday, my husband watched the kids all day, so I could spend the day in my room sewing, working on a quilt. (At least that's how it was supposed to happen, with a few sick kiddos thrown into the mix, I did end up coming out of my room to help a bit at different points during the day, but for the most part I got the day to myself.) I'm not sure if that was my most fun birthday...but usually I don't do much on my own birthday.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics you chose too!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday is when I turned 50, nine years ago. I went to Alaska dog sledding. It was a life changing experience. I was in my last semester of Grad School then also.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. My favorite birthday was going out as a family to eat and the kids actually getting along. Thanks for chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was my 16th and 21st. Both were amazing. My 16th was a surprise with a limo, friends, ride down to an Italian restaurant and Universal city walk. My 21st was at an exclusive magic club where they serve dinner and do a bunch of magic shows.

I've been lucky and all my birthdays have been pretty good ones but something that stands out is the "Middle Birthday" I celebrate with my dad, whose BDay is exactly two weeks before mine in April. It's an extra party we throw ourselves and it means I get to celebrate for a solid week. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I just voted on your lovely Baby Quilt! You go girl! I am sure my best Birthday memory is yet to come........
